september is a harvest month and the time to harvest the produce of seeds that have been planted. on september 8, 2022, the annual “autumn student grant” event was held in every industrial park of gem co., ltd and nearly rmb80,000 was all distributed among 53 sons and daughters of gem’s needy employees who had been admitted to full-time colleges and universities.
dong yang, a member of gem labor union, read out the results of the 2022 gem autumn student grant event review at the student grant presentation ceremony. gem finally decided to subsidize the 53 sons and daughters of gem’s needy employees after gem labor union and the labor unions of gem’s branches comprehensively examined and weighed difficulty levels, working years and performances of the employees. the 53 students include 2 grade a grant students, 16 grade b grant students and 35 grade c grant students. each grade a student was granted rmb3,000, each grade b student was granted rmb2,000 and each grade c grant student was rmb1,000. vice president of gem wang qiang, assistant to gem president li jinping, director of jingmen industrial park and market task scheduling center lv zhi and director of the material system scheduling office of jingmen industrial park liu yu presented the grants to the needy employees and their sons and daughter.
adhering to the corporate responsibility spirit of “caring for employees”, gem has continuously carried out the “autumn student grant” event since 2017. it has financially helped 300 sons and daughters of its needy employees, presented them nearly rmb one million as grants, effectively relieved the family life pressure on the needy employees and helped numerous students go to university and realize their dreams.
the representative of the sons and daughters extended their most sincere thanks to gem on behalf of the sons and daughters at the ceremony. they expressed that they would soon start their academic careers carrying the goodwill, begin a new journey together with gem and enthusiastically open a new chapter relying on their fevered vitality and live and fresh ardor.
the representative of the subsidized employees stated that gem had supported them and encouraged their sons and daughters to go to university, and gem’s loving care for them was always heartwarming. in future, they would surely not forget their current feelings of gratitude, and they would do our jobs more whole-heartedly to develop our company, improve ourselves and jointly create a low carbon future.
finally, gem stated what it eagerly hoped that the subsidized students would do. the first thing was that “little help brings much return”. it hoped that the students would return the kindness, help and hospitality they received, and pass the relay baton of the caring heart on from generation to generation. the second thing was that “people of strong will firmly and ceaselessly improve themselves like movement of celestial bodies”. it hoped that all the students would fully use the hard-won learning opportunities, work hard to learn and master new knowledge and new skills, constantly develop new capabilities and strive to be academically best. the third thing was that “if someone wants to make a great achievement, the person must experience suffer a lot such as physical and mental pains and must be able to bear them. the person must be perseverant, tough and self-motivated. the person can do many things that other people cannot do”. it hoped that the students would overcome difficulties, improve themselves, always try to do better and better, be always optimistic and aggressive, solve difficult problems, develop in an all-around way, do what they can do and strive to make achievements to repay the motherland for its love and care, make contributions to the society and server the people.
yong people are full of energy and they constantly learn and improve in practice. what the students are going to learn is boundless knowledge. gem hoped that the new university students would have a good start, work hard, continue to do well, overcome all difficulties and achieve the best results. gem also hoped that they would constantly improve themselves, strive to be strong, explore various unknown areas and strive to achieve great success.
